About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Paralegal for its Linthicum, Maryland office to support a Department of Defense customer. The role is part of a collaborative team working in support of cyber investigations, digital forensics, cyber threat analysis, and mission support. The Paralegal assists attorneys with preparing legal documents, conducts legal research, compiles data from reference sources, and performs computer-assisted research using systems such as Lexis. The position also maintains a digital forensic document repository and generates reports for audits and internal meetings.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of experience, or a master's degree and 3 or more years of experience, or a Ph.D. and no years of experience; an additional four years of relevant experience or specialized training may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
Demonstrated proficiency writing in English on legal subject matter using word-processing software, including referencing, editing, merging, and comparing draft documents.
Specialized experience and proficiency using legal case management tools.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision.
Basic understanding of the digital forensics process and evidentiary chain of custody.
Active Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities
