About The Position

The Johnson City, TN office of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC has an immediate opening for a Paralegal with at least 2-4 years of general litigation and transactional experience. All candidates must have either a bachelor’s degree and/or a paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program. Qualified candidates should possess strong organizational skills in the management of paper and electronic files and the ability to manage work for multiple attorneys and cases with discerning attention to detail. Litigation responsibilities include, but are not limited to, fact finding and investigations, drafting, editing, and cite-checking pleadings, preparing and responding to discovery, preparing, and attending depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials, and assisting in all facets of post-trial work. Transactional responsibilities include preparing and filing corporate formation documents including but not limited to supporting of an aviation transaction practice, to include organizing and filing of documents and paperwork with various federal and state agencies, including FAA, preparing transaction checklists, preparing and filing of UCC documents, and preparing detailed closing binders for all transactions. Previous experience recording billable time is required, as is proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Word, and state and federal e-filing programs. Must provide minimum authorization to work in the United States. Resumes accepted only for job posted.
