Requirements

  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure
  • 5+ years of experience as a paralegal, ideally with a focus on regulatory compliance and/or contract review
  • Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field
  • Proficient with MS Office and legal research databases, and can quickly learn new systems
  • Excellent organization, record‑keeping, and prioritization skills
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Adapts well to procedural and organizational changes
  • Positive, learning‑oriented attitude and takes initiative in their work
  • Able to work overtime as business needs require

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the VP–Chief Legal Counsel on corporate and compliance matters
  • Review routine legal agreements and pleadings
  • Coordinate with internal and external counsel on discovery, document collection, and litigation calendaring
  • Conduct factual and legal research, including case law, statutes, and regulatory analysis
  • Assist with regulatory and licensing matters
  • Organize and maintain case files, legal documents, and department records
  • Support legal review of agreements under the direction of the Legal team
  • Respond to internal inquiries regarding contracts, policies, and other legal issues
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing, expense oversight, filing, and record‑keeping
  • Maintain positive working relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, insurers, and regulators
  • Ensure consistency between the legal department and business partners
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the legal department
