About The Position

Aalis Management Consulting is seeking two experienced Paralegals to support a Federal Agency in representing the United States Government in civil litigation matters filed in the District of Colorado. The Paralegal will support the federal government within the Civil Division and play a key role in case preparation, legal research, document management, deadline tracking, exhibit preparation, and litigation support. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional with federal litigation support experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Criminal Justice, Business, or related field.
  • Experience supporting attorneys in litigation, legal operations, or case management environments.
  • Strong document review, legal research, and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting a U.S. Attorney's Office, DOJ, or other federal legal environment.
  • Experience supporting civil litigation matters.
  • Familiarity with eDiscovery tools, litigation databases, and federal court procedures.
  • Paralegal certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review, organize, and manage large volumes of emails, files, and legal documents.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and case tracking systems.
  • Gather and organize agency records, court records, and public records.
  • Read, analyze, and summarize pleadings, court orders, transcripts, and factual materials.
  • Draft legal memoranda and case summaries for attorney review.
  • Coordinate with federal agencies to locate responsive records and ensure court-order compliance.
  • Conduct factual and legal research using available research tools and databases.
  • Prepare briefs, presentations, hearing materials, exhibits, charts, and visual aids.
  • Provide technical litigation support, including scanning, exhibit labeling, document formatting, and electronic file preparation.
  • Track court deadlines and assist attorneys with case organization.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
