About The Position

A highly motivated, detail-oriented, and self-starting Paralegal is needed to support a California-based law firm handling a broad range of civil matters, including personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, business disputes, and mass torts. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality legal services by supporting attorneys with document preparation, case management, client communication, and day-to-day legal operations. The paralegal will work closely with the legal team to ensure cases are properly organized, deadlines are met, and all legal documentation is accurate and compliant. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Paralegal is required
  • Experience working with a U.S. law firm is required
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with strong writing proficiency
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proactive, flexible, and highly self-motivated
  • Strong sense of accountability and initiative

Nice To Haves

  • California experience is a plus
  • Experience in civil litigation or mass tort matters is an advantage
  • Law degree or legal education is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage discovery responses, including completion of discovery questionnaires
  • Draft, review, and organize legal documents such as pleadings, affidavits, contracts, and briefs
  • Ensure all documents are properly formatted, accurate, and ready for submission
  • Organize and maintain case files, records, and legal documentation
  • Track deadlines, filings, and case progress to ensure timely completion
  • Manage correspondence and documentation related to ongoing cases
  • Communicate with clients to gather information and conduct initial interviews
  • Provide updates on case progress and assist with client inquiries
  • Maintain professional and clear communication throughout the case lifecycle
  • Coordinate with attorneys regarding document filings and compliance requirements
  • Assist with day-to-day case preparation and administrative legal tasks
  • Support internal workflows to ensure smooth case progression
