Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred
- 1+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience
- Proficiency in legal research tools
- Strong knowledge of California court filing procedures and e-filing systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorneys
- Manage and organize case files, exhibits, and discovery materials
- Coordinate client communications and schedule meetings, depositions, and hearings
- File documents with courts and regulatory agencies, both electronically and in person
- Track deadlines, statutes of limitations, and case calendars
- Support attorneys in trial preparation, including preparing trial binders and witness materials
