Requirements

  • Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Paralegal Certificate
  • 2+ years of paralegal experience in domestic relations (family law) and/or criminal law preferred
  • Experience with case management software (e.g., Filevine, Google Calendaring)
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong client communication skills and professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel), Adobe, and Mac products.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of paralegal experience in domestic relations (family law) and/or criminal law

Responsibilities

  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, disclosures, discovery requests, and correspondence.
  • Assist attorneys with case management, calendaring, deadlines, and trial preparation.
  • Maintain and organize electronic case files and documents within the firm's case management systems.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, providing updates and gathering information as needed.
  • Conduct legal research using platforms such as Westlaw.
  • Assist with preparing exhibits, binders, witness lists, and trial notebooks.
  • Manage discovery processes, including organizing, reviewing, and summarizing documents.
  • Coordinate court filing, e-filing, and service processes.
  • Support attorneys during hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Collaborate with legal assistants and other administrative staff to ensure cases are moving forward efficiently.
  • Perform other duties assigned to support smooth legal operations.
