About The Position

The Illinois Agricultural Association and the COUNTRY Financial group's Legal Department has an excellent opportunity for a Paralegal in their Bloomington, IL office. This role will support multiple practice areas within the corporate Legal Department, with a primary focus on corporate, litigation, regulatory, transactions, and contracts. The Paralegal will also act as a liaison between company attorneys, outside counsel, organization, and in-house employees. A proactive approach, positive attitude, high engagement, and a strong interest in learning are desired for this position.

Requirements

Typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) at all levels of the organization.
Possesses analytical ability and ingenuity, with strong problem-solving skills and good judgement.
Technical savvy.
Advanced skills using Microsoft Office suite and legal enterprise software.
Well organized, able to identify and prioritize tasks, and successfully manage multiple projects.
Proven ability to anticipate needs and requirements and adjust positively to changes in direction and/or assignment.
Works well independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Paralegal certificate strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assembles, prepares, proofs, analyzes and edits drafts of legal documents.
Prepares and files legal documents with appropriate entities, as required.
Prepares and conducts summaries of legal research as directed.
May review and ensure the company's compliance with regulations.
May assist attorneys with litigation case files, reports, legal holds and discovery matters.
Works on special projects and corporate initiatives as assigned.
