Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience, preferably in Family Law, Criminal Defense, or litigation.
  • Strong understanding of legal procedures, court processes, and case management.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional judgment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.

Nice To Haves

  • Paralegal certificate or degree.
  • Experience in both Family Law and Criminal Defense.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Experience supporting litigation matters and trial preparation.
  • Experience serving diverse and multicultural communities.

Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys throughout all stages of Family Law and Criminal Defense cases.
  • Draft, prepare, and organize legal documents, pleadings, discovery, and case materials.
  • Maintain accurate case files, calendars, deadlines, and court schedules.
  • Communicate with clients regarding documentation, appointments, and case updates.
  • Assist with trial preparation, hearings, mediations, and court-related matters.
  • Conduct factual research and gather supporting evidence.
  • Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, government agencies, and external parties.
  • Ensure cases remain organized, compliant, and moving forward efficiently.
