About The Position

We are seeking an organized, quick-thinking, and eager-to-grow Administrative Assistant to support our top criminal defense team. This role is ideal for someone looking for a career that challenges, teaches, and provides an entry into the legal field, with opportunities for upward mobility into a paralegal role. You will assist attorneys and paralegals with managing client caseloads, calendaring, and client intake. No prior legal experience is required as training will be provided.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 1 year of administrative or office experience
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work with a strong sense of urgency
  • Strong writing, grammar, and file management skills
  • Team player with a positive, learning-focused attitude
  • Creative intelligence and a strong work ethic

Responsibilities

  • Manage attorney calendars, ensuring they are kept up-to-date and organized.
  • Answer phones and respond to emails professionally, even during busy periods.
  • Organize and maintain case files and discovery documents.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and care.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the office to support the legal team's work.
