Securities Team  This paralegal will support attorneys in securities-related arbitration, mediation, and court case matters. This is a 35-hour work week position, Monday through Friday, though some overtime may be required as business needs arise.

Requirements

  • Litigation experience at a law firm as a paralegal is required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with internet and Lexis legal research.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • A minimum of a 4-year college degree or relevant work experience equivalent.
  • Self-starter who is comfortable managing multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with securities litigation is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze documents.
  • Prepare documents for production.
  • Prepare Orders of Production and/or Subpoenas to third parties.
  • Perform legal research.
  • Interact with firm personnel, outside counsel, external vendors, and clients.
  • Organize case files and documents.
  • Prepare standard form responses.
  • Assist with trial preparation.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets and databases.
  • Support other projects as needed.
