About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking to hire a Paralegal to support internal clients with contract reviews, risk assessment, and various legal matters across a range of engineering projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for analyzing and commenting on various types of agreements related to new business opportunities. The selected candidate will also be involved in initiatives in the legal team, for example testing legal technology and tools, creating and updating templates, working on our legal department intranet pages. Your role Review various types of contracts and documents, including request for proposals, service agreements, subcontracts, NDAs. Provide detailed comments and recommendations. Draft contractual clauses based on templates. Provide general legal support to certain internal clients Provide support for various legal initiatives, training sessions, and documents updates (including templates). Draft legal memorandums and perform case law reviews. Work with other members of the legal team on special projects and initiatives. Support the management of the legal documents, such as templates, training, reference documents, etc. Participate in various meetings and team discussions. Support the organization in its transformation by using technology and support data-driven business improvements.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Paralegal Studies or equivalent training.
  • Demonstrated experience in contract analysis and drafting (minimum 5 to 7 years).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
  • Experience in a large or complex organization, ideally within the construction, engineering consulting, or professional services sectors.
  • Strong proficiency with standard IT tools, including AI tools, and contract management systems.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • High level of attention to detail, rigor, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Law degree is a strong asset.
