Requirements

  • 5+ years in plaintiff personal injury litigation
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft 365).
  • Familiarity with legal databases, preferably Needles.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Wrongful death/Catastrophic (Preferred)
  • Associate degree in paralegal studies.
  • Certification from the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) or the American Alliance Certified Paralegal (AACP) credential.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Oversee cases from sign-up to post-verdict or settlement, including drafting discovery, e-filing, preparing trial notebooks, ordering medical records, coordinating medical appointments, and responding to client inquiries.
  • Schedule depositions, coordinate with record retrieval and deposition companies, and assist attorneys in preparing for hearings and trials.
  • Manage litigation dockets, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure timely progress on cases.
  • Draft legal documents, including motions, contracts, and agreements, with thorough knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure (TRCP) and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP), including rules like TRCP 203 and 18.001 affidavits.
  • Organize, index, and track files; analyze and organize information for reports; and provide courtroom and office support to attorneys.
  • Manage client communications and supervise support staff to ensure efficient case progression.
