About The Position

The Freelance Firm is a national network of experienced, high-level, freelance attorneys and paralegals providing remote, on-demand support for legal projects for client law firms. Due to increased demand, they are interviewing for qualified, experienced, and dedicated Family Law and Civil Litigation Paralegals. Remote work hours will vary, but qualified candidates may have the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Paralegal
Direct experience in Family Law and/or Civil Litigation matters
Strong experience managing active case files from inception through resolution
Experience drafting pleadings, motions, correspondence, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation-related documents
Ability to assist with all phases of discovery, including document review, organization, and production
Strong understanding of court procedures, filing requirements, and litigation deadlines
Experience scheduling hearings, mediations, depositions, and other case-related events
Excellent client communication and case management skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines efficiently
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Self-starter who can proactively move cases forward and anticipate attorney needs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities
