About The Position

Intelligence Federal is a fast-growing government contracting company seeking a Paralegal with an active federal clearance to support a federal government agency with national security work. This is a full time position and eligible for benefits through Intelligence Federal. This role requires that you already have some level of federal clearance at Public Trust, Confidential, Secret level or higher. Candidates without this clearance will not be considered. Higher level clearances are preferred. If hired, you will need to undergo and pass any necessary screenings to earn a full TS/SCI Clearance. Work may commence before the full process is complete. Location: Onsite in Washington, DC. Please note this role requires work in a SCIF after TS/SCI granted.

Requirements

  • Must already have an active federal government clearance at Public Trust, Confidential, Secret level or higher.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret with SCI clearance and willing to undergo the investigation process.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • One to two years (1-2 years) of experience as a paralegal, or 1-2 years of experience working in national security analysis.
  • Must have a working knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and WestLaw
  • Proficient in litigation discovery software and MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Adobe PDF
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well within groups handling large volumes of work
  • Ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • Higher level clearances are preferred.
  • Experience working with a federal or state legal entity preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Tracking and managing the flow of documents and other investigative, litigation, or case-related materials
  • Liaising with Litigation Support Services and section data management with respect to uploading, organizing, filtering, reviewing, and transferring or producing documents and electronically stored information
  • Performing document review in eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity and Everlaw
  • Assisting in trial preparation including scheduling interviews, hearings, witnesses, depositions, and other related discussions
  • Assisting with research, writing, and related task such as, creating first drafts of documents such as memos, subpoenas, and discovery dover letters
