About The Position

As an experienced Paralegal on the Property team, you’ll play a crucial role in client service and practice management. Bring your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach to help our team deliver excellent client care.

Requirements

  • No less than two years' experience as a Property Paralegal.
  • Graduate of a Legal Assistant or Paralegal program, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, proofreading, time management, and communication skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • A team player with a positive approach, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently.
  • Adept at using technology such as Outlook and Microsoft Office, with a talent for learning new software quickly.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with PropertyOnline considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client intake, conduct conflict searches, and open new files.
  • Schedule meeting and manage Lawyer’s calendar.
  • Set court dates, track filing deadlines, and prepare client documents.
  • Draft routine correspondence and organize client report books.
  • Maintain electronic and paper files, handle mail, and coordinate document processing.
  • Conduct property searches, manage tax certificates and payments, and organize mortgage payouts.
  • Process wire transfers and manage financial requests.
  • Assist other Property team members as needed.
