About The Position

Hawkins Delafield & Wood LLP is a law firm with a sophisticated public finance and infrastructure transaction practice. We advance the public good by helping governmental agencies, financial institutions, nonprofit entities, and mission-driven organizations responsibly finance the infrastructure and services that people depend on every day. We are seeking a Project Manager & Closing Coordinator for our Los Angeles office. The Project Manager & Closing Coordinator works directly with the firm’s attorneys throughout the lifecycle of a financing to facilitate execution of transactions and successful closings. Such work includes assisting with or conducting project diligence, developing deal timelines and internal task-tracking mechanisms, assisting in the preparation of documents and/or closing certificates, preparing applicable filings and reports, managing an electronic closing platform and assembling project closing records. Other responsibilities include administrative assistance, non-deal project coordination and scheduling, assistance with research, drafting proposals to prospective clients, preparing billing invoices, coordinating meetings and implementing firm-wide policies and objectives locally.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of project management, transactional paraprofessional or title company closer experience (preferably with experience in real estate, financial transactions, healthcare and/or general corporate work)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal, written (grammar, spelling, format) and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, take ownership of work, anticipate next steps and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both collaboratively (with all levels of the firm) and independently, as needed
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
