About the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC): The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission is an administrative agency that hears evidence in cases filed before it and makes decisions based on the evidence presented in those cases. An advocate of neither the public nor the utilities, the Commission is required by state statute to make decisions in the public interest to ensure the utilities provide safe and reliable service at just and reasonable rates. Role Overview: The Paralegal / Legal Assistant coordinates all activities for case hearings and maintains calendars, schedules, service lists, docket entries, and orders. This includes electronic processing of all filings to and from the Commission in docketed proceedings and updating the case management system. You will assist with drafting legal documents and may also be assigned legal and records research projects. You will work closely with Administrative Law Judges, Commissioners, and technical staff.
