This position is open only to current employees of the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. Applicants must serve and pass their six-month probation period in their current position in order to be eligible to apply. The position is a hybrid role, requiring in-office work on Wednesdays and one additional day each week, with the option for telecommuting on other days. The role involves extensive research, investigation, and documentation for tort and employment lawsuits against King County, as well as managing complex discovery, electronic discovery, and trial preparation. The paralegal will also draft and respond to various legal documents, summarize deposition transcripts and other records, and prepare correspondence. A commitment to Race, Equity and Social Justice trainings and ongoing cultural competence development is expected.
