You must have significant experience with title & survey review, due diligence review, UCC searches/filings and post-closing follow-up. This position is hybrid and offers a work schedule of 3 days a week in the Baltimore, Minneapolis, or Washington, D.C. office.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning and problem-solving.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
  • The ability to work independently, as well as with a team and with clients.
  • Intermediate-level skills working with Microsoft Office applications, document management systems and time-keeping software are necessary.
  • Commercial real estate experience with a law firm, title company, commercial lender, or other related entity.
  • Experience reviewing title, survey and zoning documents is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Fannie Mae DUS, Freddie Mac CME, and/or HUD-insured programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing title, survey, and zoning documents, including coordinating with title companies, surveyors, and vendors to resolve discrepancies and secure final title policies.
  • Preparation and tracking of legal closing checklists.
  • Organizing, tracking, and reviewing due diligence documents, including property level due diligence and organizational documents.
  • Preparing summaries of due diligence documents, including drafting full abstracts of complicated agreements.
  • Drafting routine and more complex transaction documents.
  • Ordering, tracking, and reviewing legal searches from third-party vendors and summarizing issues.
  • Preparing and filing UCCs and other required filings.
