To meet client demands, the firm is expanding its team of professionals and is actively searching for Trial Ready Litigation Paralegals to join its team nationwide, including in Lake Mary, FL. Paralegals play a vital role on case teams and are respected for their ideas and contributions.

Requirements

• Must be familiar with and able to follow client billing guidelines, enter and record accurate billing entries
• A Bachelor’s Degree, Paralegal Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• 4+ years’ litigation defense experience required

Responsibilities

• Prepare, edit and proofread a variety of documents (correspondence, agreements and pleadings)
• Work with attorneys to keep litigation advancing in each case; including taking the initiative to regularly update team members on the status of cases and quickly alerting attorneys to important client and case needs
• Assist attorneys with discovery, including discovery requests, depositions and issuing subpoenas
• Assist with document review and analysis through various platforms
• Manage electronic case files using a document management system (iManage) to ensure information is organized and easy to locate
• Prepare for trial (including compiling trial materials, coordinating witnesses, preparing and issuing trial subpoenas, preparing and managing exhibits, attending trial)
• Gather and analyze complex medical records needed to prepare medical chronologies
