About The Position
Cromwell Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator for Woodside Intermediate School, serving students in grades 3-5. The paraeducator will support students with disabilities in various aspects of their daily activities and adapt to diverse classroom settings. This role operates under the guidance of special and/or regular education teachers and may involve assisting with therapy activities, toileting, lifting, accompanying students on field trips, teaching life skills, and performing other duties as assigned by the teacher and/or building principal.
Requirements
- Associates degree; OR 60 college credits; OR a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support students in all aspects of their day.
- Work in diverse classroom settings under the direction of special and/or regular education teachers.
- Assist with therapy activities.
- Assist with toileting.
- Assist with lifting.
- Accompany students on field trips.
- Instruct students in life skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher and/or building principal.
