About The Position
Cromwell Public Schools is seeking a Building Sub Paraeducator for Woodside Intermediate School. This role involves working with a diverse range of students with disabilities, providing support throughout their school day in various classroom settings. The paraeducator will assist special and/or regular education teachers with tasks that may include therapy activities, toileting, lifting, accompanying students on field trips, instructing in life skills, and performing other duties as assigned by the teacher and/or building principal.
Requirements
- Associates degree; OR 60 college credits; OR a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support students with disabilities in all aspects of their day.
- Work in diverse classroom settings under the direction of special and/or regular education teachers.
- Assist with therapy activities, toileting, and lifting.
- Accompany students on field trips.
- Provide life skill instruction.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher and/or building principal.
