About The Position
Cromwell Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator for Cromwell High School. This role involves supporting students with disabilities in various aspects of their daily activities and adapting to diverse classroom settings. The paraeducator will work under the guidance of special and/or regular education teachers, assisting with tasks such as therapy activities, toileting, lifting, field trips, and life skill instruction. All duties will be assigned by the teacher and/or building principal.
Requirements
- Associates degree, 60 college credits, or a passing score on the Para Pro Assessment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support students in all aspects of their day.
- Work in diverse classroom settings under the direction of special/and or regular education teachers.
- Assist with therapy activities.
- Assist with toileting.
- Assist with lifting.
- Accompany students on field trips.
- Provide life skill instruction.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the teacher and/or building principal.
