About The Position

This is a full-time position for a Paraeducator in Supplemental Programs. The role involves working under the direction of a licensed staff member to provide supplemental reading and math support to at-risk students. Additionally, the position may offer social/emotional behavioral support to these students. The position is for 184 days per year, with 6.5 hours of work per day. The position can be filled after a 5-day posting period.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be physically working in the building.
Candidates must have completed 60 semester/90 quarter credits or obtained an associate's degree (or higher) from a regionally accredited institution or have passed the ParaEducator exam or ParaPro exam. (Documentation will be required)
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability/desire to work with technology and computers.
Ability to work cooperatively with students and staff.

Responsibilities

Work under the direction of a licensed staff member to provide supplemental reading and math support to at-risk students.
May also provide social/emotional behavioral support to at-risk students.
Ability to supervise students.
Ability to take direction.
Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day.
Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.
