This position involves complementing, supplementing, and reinforcing students' instruction under the direction and supervision of the classroom teacher in both special education and regular education classrooms. The paraeducator will work with identified children as required by the program curriculum, participate in in-service sessions, and attend staff meetings when requested. On an as-needed basis, employees may be required to attend to a student whose needs include routine medical procedures or assistance with regular hygiene. The role also requires keeping accurate records on activities with students and performing other duties as required by the Principal or classroom teacher.
