About The Position
This position is for a Paraeducator in a Specialized High (SH) program. The role involves working with students requiring a specialized learning environment. The work year is 10 months, with 183 work days per year. The position is part-time, working 7 hours per day.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma
- Have one of the following: An associates or higher college degree; or The equivalent of 60 semester or 90 quarter units of college credit
- Completion of District mandated training within one year of date of employment (Provided at the time of hire)
Nice To Haves
- Course work in child growth and development, special education, or closely related field desirable
- Experience working with students requiring a specialized learning environment is desirable
