The Paraeducator position is responsible for assisting in the supervision and instruction of students, and relieving teachers of routine clerical tasks. This role involves supporting students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in both large and small group settings within academic classrooms such as Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies. The paraeducator must be able to provide accommodations and modifications to students as outlined in their IEPs, in collaboration with the head classroom teacher. Experience working with high school students with learning disabilities is preferred. Training in Right Response de-escalation and knowledge of restorative practices will be required or are preferred. The position requires the ability to be highly collaborative and independent.
