Paraeducator-Independence Facilitator - 7 hrs/day (Special Education)
About The Position
Provides individual behavior intervention and medical support to students in classroom settings and assists individuals or small groups of students to enhance learning. Assists teachers with instruction and classroom management in special education and general education classrooms, lunchrooms, and play-field environments. The position is based in Special Education (Achieve) and works 7 hours per day, 5 days per week, for 182 work days per year. Salary is $21.24–$28.08 per hour in 9 annual steps, with placement based on relevant experience. Application deadline: 11/13/2026.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a competency assessment demonstrating knowledge and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics; at least 48 college credit units may substitute for the assessment.
- Compliance with District skill and competency requirements.
- May require a valid driver’s license.
- May require a valid First Aid/CPR card.
