About The Position

Voyago is currently recruiting to fill existing Full-Time Transit Dispatcher positions in London, Ontario! This role involves scheduling new bookings, coordinating with drivers, and ensuring timely service to maintain customer satisfaction. The dispatcher will utilize radio communication, manage reports, handle phone and email correspondence, take responsibility for the Emergency Response Plan, and assist with scheduling vehicle maintenance.

Requirements

Dispatch experience within the transportation or service industry.
Comfortable using the radio to listen and communicate effectively with all drivers.
Superior time management and communication skills.
Highly organized and able to multitask.
Physically capable of climbing stairs.
Ability to take initiative to solve problems and search out the data needed to do so.
Proficient in computer software with experience in MS Office (Word & Excel).
Excellent customer service experience.
Clean criminal record search.
Sound geographic knowledge of surrounding area (London).
Available to work full-time rotating afternoon shifts (2:00PM - 1:00AM) on a rotating schedule: week 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday; week 2: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.

Responsibilities

Schedule new bookings and coordinate with drivers regarding changes.
Utilize the radio to communicate effectively with all drivers on route.
Ensure all drivers active on routes are on time to maintain customer satisfaction.
Manage and pull a variety of reports as per the managers directive.
Answer phones and email correspondence in a professional and courteous manner.
Take responsibility for the Emergency Response Plan in the event of a serious collision.
Manage and assist with scheduling vehicle maintenance as required.
