This position involves working with and supervising students who have special needs, specifically disabled students with significant physical disabilities in a life skills classroom setting and during additional school activities. The paraeducator will collaborate with the special education teacher, other paraeducators, and specialists. Duties include carrying out educational instruction, diapering, feeding or tube feeding, lifting and positioning students. The paraeducator may be required to administer medication and/or catheterize students with training. The role also involves keeping documentation to monitor student progress and performing all duties within the scope of Kennewick School District policies and procedures. Other job-related duties will be performed as assigned.
