About The Position

Make a difference every day by joining CCRES as a Para-educator through our partnership with Tredyffrin-Easttown School District (T/ESD)! CCRES is offering paid credentials, eliminating upfront costs for necessary clearances & TB screening. The Para-educator position will support students in one of the following areas: Autistic, Emotional, Instructional, Learning, and Life Skills. The Para-educator will work on student days following the T/ESD school calendar year. Typical scheduled hours for Elementary are 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Middle School are 8:15 AM - 3:15 PM, and High School are 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM. The position schedule may vary depending upon assignment. This role includes 11 paid holidays and 7 days of paid time off (pro-rated based on start date). The hourly pay-rate for Para-educator is $20.81 per hour.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two-years of post secondary education (48 college credits)
  • PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • PA Department of Education FBI
  • TB Screening
  • Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts

Nice To Haves

  • Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the special education teacher, implement IEP's, and behavioral plans.
  • Provide assistance to students in regular & special education classrooms in completing tasks assigned by teachers.
  • Supervise children in the hallway, lunchroom and playground.
  • Assist the teacher in observing, recording and charting behavior.
  • Observe behavior and carries out behavior management activities.
