About The Position
Supervise the operating personnel in the Paper Machine, Refining, Recycle and Shipping areas and to monitor the operations in these areas.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years in the pulp and paper industry or manufacturing related industry.
- Demonstrated ability to be a supervisor and leader.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, Outlook.
Nice To Haves
- Prior paper mill experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the operating personnel in the Paper Machine, Refining, Recycle and Shipping areas.
- Monitor the operations in these areas.
- Learn and understand the capabilities of supervised employees utilizing them and developing their abilities as necessary.
- Learn and understand the Union Labor Agreement and administer it fairly and consistently.
- Maintain complete, legible, and readily accessible documentation of work.
- Communicate the department status, process problems and safety concerns to the Area Managers, Operations Manager and primary Manufacturing/Technical Services/Engineering and others as necessary.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
