The PAP Technician is responsible for processing PAP paperwork daily, educating patients on the proper use and care of PAP equipment, performing preventive maintenance on PAP equipment, and assisting in resolving patient equipment problems. This role also involves processing CPAP/BiPAP equipment returns, educating patients on PAP supplies, documenting information for reimbursement, maintaining PAP inventory, collecting co-insurance payments, and scheduling patient appointments. The technician will also assist walk-in patients with troubleshooting and assume on-call responsibilities for service and repair during non-business hours. Additionally, they will deliver and train patients/caregivers on equipment usage, develop knowledge of PAP products, report equipment hazards, manage phone systems, assist with order questions, and submit inventory reports.
