About The Position
The Olympic Club is searching for an experienced Pantry Cook for our City Clubhouse. Scheduling is by position seniority with shifts assigned based on operational needs. Candidates must have availability to work flexible schedules including day times, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- Must have a good working knowledge of cold food preparation and have basic knife skills
- Must have excellent safety and sanitation skills, and experience in a fast paced kitchen
- Must have intermediate oral English communication skills and be able to listen and follow directions
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work various shifts including holidays and weekends
Responsibilities
- Under general guidance of the Executive Chef, assists in the preparation of cold entrees, salads, appetizers, etc.
- Prepares foods for cooks, such as washing and peeling fruits and vegetables, cutting, chopping and similar duties
- Assists in buffet and catering service set up, replenishing and tear-down
- Maintains sanitation and safety standards at all times in work areas and during food handling, production, and storage
- Checks the food temperatures prior to food being served and during the course of service
- Performs other work as assigned
