About The Position

Design and develop new Apple display architecture as a Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) Process Engineer. Design and develop processes to fabricate TFT, the backbone of any modern display, directly controlling how the display light-on functions. Coordinate the development of TFT technology with Apple’s display suppliers and material and process equipment vendors. Benchmark the performance and reliability of the display panel provided by Apple’s partners and suppliers using TFT device characteristic analysis and modeling. Apply multi-analysis methods to perform non-intrusive and intrusive imaging and elemental analysis to find display failure root causes.

Requirements

  • Semiconductor device physics and processes for design specifications
  • Display equipment design and operations using CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition), PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition), and etching.
  • Failure analysis methods using SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy), TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy), EDS (Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy), FTIR(Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy), FIB (Focused Ion Beam), or SIMS (Secondary Ion Mass Specstrometry).
  • Material metrology and composition analysis.
  • TFT device characteristic analysis and modeling to benchmark the performance and readiness of display panels.
  • Display vendor management and manufacturing process optimization using experimental data, visualization tools, and analytical methods
  • Equipment design and operation processes for product integration and equipment capability.
