About The Position

Setpoint Systems Corporation, a leader in intelligent building controls since 1983, is experiencing rapid expansion and is seeking a motivated, detail-obsessed Panel Fabrication Technician for its specialized Panel Shop. This role is for a maker who takes pride in transforming complex schematics into organized, high-performance hardware. The technician will be responsible for the end-to-end assembly of custom electrical control panels that meet elite industry standards, contributing to award-winning HVAC and automation systems that power major commercial and industrial landmarks.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
1–3 years of documented experience building industrial electrical control panels or complex assemblies.
Expert use of multimeters, torque wrenches, crimpers, and wire strippers.
Proven ability to interpret complex electrical schematics and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
Ability to lift components weighing up to 50 pounds.
High manual dexterity is required for intricate wiring and component assembly.

Nice To Haves

Technical certification or an Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret complex electrical schematics and panel layouts to determine exact component placement.
Mount PLCs, relays, terminal blocks, circuit breakers, and power supplies into enclosures.
Execute complex point-to-point wiring with a focus on neat routing, correct color-coding, and secure connections.
Utilize power tools, punches, and saws to modify enclosures and mounting plates.
Conduct continuity checks and power-up testing to ensure panels are functional and compliant.
Build panels to UL 508A and NEC (NFPA 70) standards.
