About The Position

Teaches and facilitates learning by delivering content and providing feedback or support to enhance overall understanding and skill. Teaches course curriculum to participants such as licensed healthcare professionals, patients and families, or the general public. Communicates with program coordinator or manager regarding relevant class information in a timely manner. May assist with curriculum development or identification and definition of the educational needs of the program participants. Presents a welcoming environment for participants and portrays a positive, enthusiastic, professional attitude for participants. May coordinate program check-in and collect evaluations and payments from participants. Maintains cleanliness and order in the classroom. Re-sets rooms if changes for classroom activity unless other arrangements have been made.

Requirements

  • Must have or be willing to get PALS License
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent licensure or certification, required.
  • Teaching and presentation skills for the classroom.
  • Effective communication skills for relating to all levels of participants.
  • Initiative, decision-making, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of adult and child learning styles and effective teaching principles.
  • Experience in educational program development and design, required.
