Palliative Care Nurse
About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with extensive field experience to provide palliative care to patients in the comfort of their homes. The role focuses on comfort and quality of life for patients with serious illnesses and involves independently managing patient care plans, coordinating with healthcare teams, monitoring conditions, administering medications, documenting care, and educating patients and families about palliative care techniques and symptom management. The nurse must comply with healthcare regulations and company policies and be able to travel to Wayne, Macomb, and Oakland counties.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
- Proven field experience, preferably in palliative or home care settings.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to travel to Wayne, Macomb, and Oakland counties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to nursing care.
