About The Position

The Pallet Mover is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting materials, packaging supplies, cardboard, and finished goods between the warehouse and production floor. This role ensures production lines remain fully supplied, materials are accurate and compliant with documentation, and all safety, quality, and cleanliness standards are strictly followed. The Pallet Mover plays a critical role in supporting continuous production operations and may assist with Line Inspector duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills for counting, tracking, and documentation.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and safety requirements.
  • Ability to perform physical job demands, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment and production documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all Life Saving Rules and safety policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, including steel‑toe safety shoes, ear plugs, safety glasses, hairnets, and smocks, in accordance with production area rules.
  • Clock in 15 minutes before the start of shift to complete shift‑to‑shift communication, review operational changes, and attend safety meetings.
  • Safely operate a manual pallet jack, ensuring forks are always lowered to the floor when not in use.
  • Transport cardboard, empty pallets, totes, and finished product between the warehouse and production floor using approved material‑handling methods.
  • Ensure cardboard is never hand‑carried onto the production floor and that all team‑lift requirements are followed.
  • Inspect pallets before bringing them onto the production floor to ensure they are clean, intact, and free of contamination.
  • Remove plastic strapping using approved safety tools and dispose of materials immediately to eliminate trip hazards.
  • Verify packaging materials against travelers and bills of materials, documenting any deviations accurately.
  • Maintain accurate counts of materials used and remaining balances on travelers.
  • Ensure machines have sufficient supplies and notify the warehouse when restocking is required.
  • Complete Return to Warehouse Tickets for unused materials at the end of runs or during mold changes.
  • Clean totes and wipe down products and containers before transferring them to production or rework areas.
  • Assist with breaks and lunches as needed to maintain appropriate production coverage.
  • Perform Line Inspector responsibilities when required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment at all times.
