Palletizer Operator
About The Position
The Palletizer Operator programs and operates a log bundler, palletizer, log crane, and stacker to deliver good signatures stacked or logged according to Finishing guidelines to the staging area. The role is based at Sheridan and works a night schedule of Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, for 36 hours per week. Mandatory overtime may be required as needed; overtime is paid at time and a half after 36 hours per week. The position requires working at a rapid pace and safely and productively. It involves frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds, as well as frequent standing, walking, handling, and reaching or working overhead. Occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, sitting, crouching, and crawling are also required. Hearing protection, eye protection, and safety shoes must be worn.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED/HiSET.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform work productively and safely.
- Reliable attendance.
- Ability to work mandatory overtime as needed.
- Ability to work at a rapid pace.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Frequent standing, walking, handling, and reaching or working overhead.
- Ability to occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, sit, crouch, and crawl.
- Good visual acuity and manual dexterity.
- Must wear hearing protection, eye protection, and safety shoes.
