About The Position

Seda North America is seeking a Machine Operator- Automated Palletizer on 2nd shift to join their Operations team. This position is fully on-site during 2nd shift hours, Monday through Friday 3pm to 11pm. Seda North America, recently certified as a Great Place to Work, is a subsidiary of Seda International Packaging Group. It is a state-of-the-art, air-conditioned, food safety clean facility that designs and produces innovative paper packaging solutions, using paper as an environmentally sound choice in building unique bonds between brands and consumer products, including insulated coffee cups and food industry containers.

Requirements

  • Fault finding and problem solving skills
  • Mechanical skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50lb weight unassisted
  • Must be able to remain on feet standing and walking for 8-hour shift
  • Comfortable working in noisy and loud environments
  • Wear all required PPE and follow safety practices as instructed

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in 5S, Mathematical Computations, Problem Solving Skills, Metric System and FANUC & Mitsubishi Controllers
  • Palletizer and Blanking experience
  • Technical degree or other certification

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate automated palletizing equipment, including automated robotic palletizers, conveyors, labelers, automated stretch wrappers, elevators and Laser guided vehicles (LGV’s).
  • Repair or adjust equipment, machines, or defective components, replacing worn parts.
  • Keep production and palletizing department running in a safe and productive manner.
  • Work with the operations team to achieve manufacturing targets.
  • Keep machine supplied with materials which may require the use of pushcarts or pallet jacks.
  • Record and maintain data as necessary.
  • Identify and report problems and initiate corrective action, if needed.
