Requirements

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving one concrete variable in standardized situations.
  • PIT Certificate
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Must be able to safely lift 25 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to stand on hard surface for most of shift.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with Safety work rules at all times and reinforce Safety as a Core Value.
  • Ensure all policies, procedures and activities related to Food Safety & Quality are followed and complied with uniformly to reduce product and process variability.
  • Ensure regulatory Compliance.
  • Safely move, record, and tag palletized product.
  • Check package quality (dirt, labels are applied, etc.).
  • Operate MR-60 robot.
  • Troubleshoot MR-60 including replacing suction cups, adjusting taper/rollers, and cleaning filters.
  • Operate Lantech wrap machine including changing rolls of film.
  • Complete necessary documentation.
  • Ensure material is kept separated, neat, stored properly, and labeled.
  • Follow all HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) guidelines.
  • Perform lock out/tag out.
  • Watch, correct, and report safety issues.
  • Communicate issues to production management and maintenance.
  • Follow all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements and safety procedures.
  • Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) procedures, “washing hands, etc.” throughout the day.
  • Follow all HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) guidelines.
  • Follow all SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and SSOP (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Keep all records updated.
  • Follow all USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) regulations and guidelines.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Be accountable for a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.
  • Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
