About The Position
The Pallet Wash role is responsible for removing dirt, debris, and contaminants from pallets through various methods while maintaining standards for safety, security, and productivity. This is an indoor, year-round position with a pay rate of $18/hr.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift and move 50-60 pounds repetitively
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day).
- Able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch frequently.
- Able to use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Responsibilities
- Comply with all safety procedures at all times while performing job duties using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Utilize appropriate tools to include pressure sprayers, brushes, and hand tools for cleaning pallets.
- Visually inspects pallets and determines rework needed to be put back in production.
- Communicates with Shift Lead and site management consistently for guidance and priorities.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Follow the inspection process.
- Work at a steady, fast pace.
