About The Position

Focus on engineering, building, and maintaining data pipelines, applications, workflows, and governance capabilities inside the Palantir platform, particularly Code Repositories, Workshop, Slate, and Machinery (BPR). Build and configure data pipelines using Code Repositories and Pipeline Builder. Build applications and workflows using Workshop, Slate, and Machinery (BPR) within Palantir. Develop data pipelines involving collecting, transforming, cleaning, and validating data, using Palantir. Develop and maintain governance applications that monitor platform performance, compliance, and operational health. Implement and maintain platform‑driven automations and monitoring capabilities. Partner with data governance, operations, and product teams to ensure effective platform governance. Coordinate with non-technical users to gather requirements. Identify, summarize, and catalog data fidelity issues, and make recommendations to the client on how to resolve or mitigate the issues. Develop trusted relationships with clients at all levels of the organization to obtain a more complete perspective and understanding of our clients’ mission, challenges, and goals to deliver tailored solutions. Support business development efforts (e.g., responding to RFPs/RFIs, developing white papers, creating pitch decks and capability briefings, etc.).

Requirements

  • ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
  • THREE (3) or more years’ experience in hands-on data engineering and/or database management.
  • Hands‑on experience with Foundry Code Repositories, Pipeline Builder, Workshop, Slate, and Machinery.
  • Experience developing data pipelines, UIs, workflows, and automations inside Palantir.
  • Experience supporting performance monitoring and operational tooling within Foundry.
  • Strong scripting or programming experience (PySpark preferred).
  • Experience detecting data issues affecting the performance of data pipelines and devise techniques for resolving or mitigating them.
  • Ability to support remote, hybrid, and on-site projects in the DC metro area.

Nice To Haves

  • SIX (6) years’ experience in hands-on data engineering and/or database management.
  • An acute attention to detail and ability to perform robust data quality checks
  • Understanding of relational database concepts and structures.
  • Understanding of platform governance practices and observability.
  • Proficiency in querying and joining datasets using SQL.
