About The Position

Painters are responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing paint, and applying coatings using spray guns according to specifications. They must inspect finished parts for conformity, maintain their equipment and workspace, and follow manufacturing work orders. This role also involves assisting the finish department as needed and adhering to all company policies and safety guidelines. A regular and reliable schedule is expected.

Requirements

• Must be able to perform basic computer operations relative to data entry and ERP systems
• Pass spirometry tests

Nice To Haves

• Use of a spray gun for painting is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts to be painted, and secure vulnerable parts
• Select and mix components to prepare coating substances according to specifications
• Apply coatings to part surfaces using spray guns per specifications
• Examine finished surfaces to verify conformity to the specifications
• Clean and maintain tools and equipment using solvents, brushes, and rags
• Assist the rest of the finish department when needed
• Maintain a regular and reliable schedule as set by the supervisor according to handbook guidelines
• Abide by all safety, quality, personnel, and other policies as applicable
• Read, initial, and follow planners and manufacturing work orders
