About The Position

Prepares and applies paint, varnishes and other coatings to a variety of products.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate overhead and manual floor lifting equipment to maneuver, load, and unload items onto and off of the paint line that exceed 50lbs.
  • Ability to utilize pre-coating agents, mix and match colors and textures according to specifications, and fill or level materials as required.
  • Ability to follow compound specifications for mixing of paints and painting techniques.
  • Ability to apply paint and any additional finishes according to sales order and work instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, technical specifications and material data sheets.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and complete records as required.
  • Ability to perform quality inspections as described in quality plans and work instructions.
  • Knowledge of quality procedures according to ISO 9001.
  • Commitment to following all work instructions, policies, and posted signs or instructions regarding safety, including but not limited to, proper use of required PPE at all times.
  • Understanding of individual "right and duty to intervene" and ability to take action in a positive manner to assist a fellow team member or take action to correct an unsafe situation and prevent a potential accident in the event of an evident safety concern.

Responsibilities

  • Manage material movement through the department which aligns with the most immediate needs of internal customers to meet On-Time-Delivery (OTD) performance metrics.
  • Operate overhead and manual floor lifting equipment to maneuver, load, and unload items onto and off of the paint line that exceed 50lbs.
  • Utilize pre-coating agents, mix and match colors and textures according to specifications, and fill or level materials as required.
