About The Position

The Painter is responsible for maintaining all public areas and guest rooms by painting, wallpapering, and plastering as needed. This role ensures the hotel's decor remains in good condition and involves cleaning work areas after completing jobs. The position also requires understanding emergency procedures and hotel regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year commercial painting experience required.
• Ability to work in the interior and exterior of the hotel and work with paints, plaster and other painting materials, performing inspections and making painting repairs.
• Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers.
• Candidate must have excellent time management skills, the ability to work with both internal and external customers and a keen eye for detail.
• Must be able to handle frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time or for an entire shift.
• Frequent bending and/or kneeling required.
• 100% of mobility required in all areas of hotel property and ground.
• Must be able to climb a ladder, work in high places and confined areas.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Attention to detail is important.

• Vinyl wall covering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains (paint, wallpaper, plaster, etc.) all public areas and guest rooms on an on-going basis.
• Keep the hotel decor in good condition.
• Clean all work areas after completing job.
• Fill out Daily Work form.
• Have a thorough understanding of Emma’s fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
• Have a thorough understanding of Hotel Emma rules and regulations
