About The Position

It is the responsibility of the Painter to maintain all aspects of the building that pertain to the painting trade. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Requirements

• Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English and articulate.
• Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required.
• Related degree preferred/trade certification.
• 4 years’ experience.
• Minimum age requirement is 21
• Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.
• Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
• Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.
• Journeyman four years trade school and on–the-job training.
• Knowledge of all materials and colors.
• Working rapidly, attention to detail.
• Knowledge of all paints and coatings.
• Must have some taping – wallpaper and painting skills – combo person.
• Must have some experience in working in a hotel/casino following basic direction/instructions.

Nice To Haves

• Related degree preferred/trade certification.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of paint and painting materials needed to complete a job successfully.
• Responsible for precise taping, painting, and wallpapering.
• Properly preparing surfaces for painting, including sanding, griding, washing, and cleaning.
• Maintain a clean and safe work space.
• Keep up with current trends and techniques used in the industry.
