About The Position

This position is responsible for the safe completion of work in the most efficient manner in their area of responsibility. The painter will be responsible for painting a variety of industrial surfaces, including equipment, machinery, walls, floors, ceilings, and other structures.

Requirements

  • GED or High School Diploma
  • Passage of Drug Test
  • Passage of Physical Agility Test
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good verbal communication
  • Physical strength to operate machinery
  • Diligence and attention to detail
  • Excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Experience painting a variety of surface types
  • Proficiency with technical machinery
  • Moves parts weighing up to 80 pounds
  • Frequently moves up to 50-pound parts overhead
  • Exposure to noise – continuously
  • Lifting/carrying/moving up to 50 pounds
  • Standing, Twisting, Walking – frequently
  • Hand/Eye coordination – frequently
  • Continuous standing and walking on concrete surfaces

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor automated powder coat paint line, including spray booths, ovens, and conveyor systems
  • Load and unload parts onto the paint line in an efficient and safe manner
  • Inspect parts before and after coating to ensure proper coverage, thickness, and finish quality
  • Adjust settings on equipment to maintain optimal coating performance
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate more complex problems as needed
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of paint equipment and work area
  • Maintain proper powder levels and manage color changes when required
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and handling of materials
  • Work closely with production team to meet daily output and quality goals
  • Document production data, quality checks, and any issues encountered
  • Apply coatings using electrostatic and non-electrostatic processes
  • Maintains chemicals in the wash tank
  • Operates thinner recycler
  • Move, hang, and remove materials as needed to using hoists, cranes, or other available methods
  • Performs other duties assigned by the Supervisor
